I was informed today that Monday and Tuesday are public holidays so it looks like the first Advanced YAN class will have to be postponed until the following week.
I am struggling to collect applications for the YAN club at GHS Buea Town. Although the children seemed to be overly enthused about YAN, they have failed to show seriousness and hand in their completed applications. I met with the Media Center Teacher and he agreed to pass out more applications and remind the kids to hand in their applications. I planned on choosing the students after collecting their applications after the weekend, but because of the holiday, I won't be able to collect them until Wednesday which is club day. You know what they say: the best things are worth waiting for... I am still eager to start working with the students in Buea Town because I know once things are organized and started, everything else will fall into place.
